Um, so stay tuned and get really excited to hear from the owners of P Vault Studio.
(00:00:40):
Welcome to the pod. Yay. We've got Holly. We've got Danny and Katie. Yeah. Kansas City Buckets podcast. Here we go. I sure does. Um, I am super excited to have you guys on this. Worked out really well because I had started learning about P Vault and, um, had looked into you guys, reached out and
turns out on the receiving end was a college friend of mine who is the lead trainer with P Vault. You guys are the, the co-owners of P Vault, which is coming to Kansas City, which is super exciting. We're obviously gonna get into all of that. Um, but it worked out really well for Holly, who's kind of my little co-host right here. Yes, yes. Um, to be on the pod today. So excited to have you guys in. Yeah. Do you guys wanna share a little bit about you guys being co-owners of P Vault and, um, kind of the, maybe the ETA and where it's gonna be, kind of the, the high level details of it?
Danny Deenihan (00:01:27):
Yeah. Um, so we're hoping to open February 6th. Okay. Um, at 41 50 Shawnee Mission Parkway over in beautiful Fairway Kansas. Beautiful
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:01:37):
Fairway.
Danny Deenihan (00:01:38):
Um, we've got a popup space for events at select times, um, down at a mile down the street. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. At the shops at Fairway. Perfect.
Katie Deenihan (00:01:49):
Yeah. And Holly's done like such a good job at those. It's kind of insane how good she is already. Like it is just crazy.
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:01:55):
She's a natural.
Katie Deenihan (00:01:56):
She's so natural. She's so good already. Yeah. It's,
Holly Crosby (00:01:59):
Yeah. Is it you
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:02:00):
Being good, natural, a former dancer or still active dancer, however you wanna

That's right, that's right. It does lend itself. They do a skew heavy in trainers that have a little bit of a dance background mm-hmm <affirmative>. Um, and a training background. So I feel like that's where I found connection to the method and where I've really Yeah. Started to pick up and enjoy. Yeah. Um, leading people in it, because it does feel so familiar in certain ways. Yeah. But the method is great too, and that's what makes it Yeah. Um, exciting to learn and then teach other people.
Katie Deenihan (00:02:25):
So Holly just did a really good job. Like, I remember the first pop up and, you know, this is like, Holly's like first class in front of people <laugh>. This is like, well, she did a practice one. Um, and so I was expecting, you know, to look like a normal class. Like, you know, like, this is like her first time doing it, and she just absolutely crushed it. It was like insane. I was like, whoa, if she can do that in her first class. And then the feedback was, how long has she been teaching people <laugh>? Mm-hmm <affirmative>. It wasn't like a day. Yeah. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. It wasn't like, is this her first class? It wasn't, you know, it was like, how long had she been teaching? Like, did she teach it somewhere else and she just found you in Kansas City. I was like, that was her first class <laugh>. And that's like every time, that's what everybody would say is it seems like she's been teaching it for years. 'cause she was so good, but she's so excited to teach it. Yeah. So she also brings that sense of like, I'm so good at teaching it and I'm also excited to teach you about it. It's such
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:03:18):
A, I mean, it's Right.
Katie Deenihan (00:03:20):
It's beyond the dream. It's
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:03:21):
So nice. Yeah. Like, you guys are building out your dream. You're doing your dream. This podcast is my dream. Yeah. I mean, there's, there you just can't explain, like, to be truly excited and like, you know, so happy about what you're doing day in and day out, you know? So I love that.
Holly Crosby (00:03:35):
Yeah. When things line up, it's really nice to see that Oh, oh, wasn't, isn't that interesting? Yeah. It was meant to line up like that
Katie Deenihan (00:03:41):
A year ago. You know, we didn't think we, you know, you don't know where you're gonna be in a year. And so, yeah.
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:03:47):
So let's talk about what P Ball is, because I think probably a large majority of Kansas City has no idea what it is. Um, I don't know if we begin with the whole Jennifer Aniston story Yeah. Where people would recognize that or if we wait till later to get into her involvement.
Holly Crosby (00:04:00):
So I think P Vault, well, P Vault first of all, stands for personal evolution. Right. As a brand. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. Good to know. And I think that that's really, you're gonna see that in everything that P Vault does and in the class from the top to bottom, but it's functional movement. Mm-hmm

<affirmative>. Paired with resistance training. So we use over 13 pieces of equipment to make sure classes are always moving. But functional movement basically means the things that we do in everyday life. So you're gonna practice, you know, reaching for things, bending behind you to grab your kids. Mm hmm <affirmative>. Um, lifting something heavy, darn it. Just getting in and outta your car. <laugh>, you know, like sometimes can be a
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:04:35):
Struggle. Things like become very difficult as we get halfway through life and you're like, what just
Holly Crosby (00:04:39):
Happened also up? That's it. But also Exactly. But also is when you're young, right? Yeah. Like these things. It is interesting that fitness has all developed around, um, forward facing concepts when really our life is in 360 degrees. Yeah. And so what's great about functional fitness is that we think about that constantly and the whole class is developed around that. Yeah. So I've never taken fitness classes where you, you rotate so much. Mm-hmm. We work the spine, we work the joints. Yeah. Um, which for me in, I'm 47 Yep. About to turn the coordinator to 48, but it's, um, the joint situation. Yep. Can we get a moment? Mm-hmm <affirmative>. Yeah. Like we just don't do it. Like, and so what I found really interesting is that Oh yeah, we really say functional, but we really mean it too. Yeah. And so the class is very unique. We use, um, such cool pieces of equipment to really make sure that you're getting at that body so that everyone at every stage Yeah. Can really connect to it, which is cool.
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:05:33):
So obviously with the studio, we don't have room for the full, kind of like to be able to show what you do, so you can speak to some of the equipment. Yeah. I will be doing this with, um, you at the lead and we'll have a whole separate feature to show me doing it as well. Yeah. Because I was reading strength, mobility, stability, I'm like, oh my gosh. All of that is literally right up my alley right now. And just I guess no matter what age you are, but especially like our age, being in our forties mm-hmm <affirmative>. My mom, obviously older, she fell her stability. All the things that I am, like, I have to get ahead of this stuff. What do I need
Katie Deenihan (00:06:04):
To do? Well, and the stability is the thing that I've noticed, you know, the most. And I remember, you know, in, we were in Denver and I started to take some private classes and I made Danny go. 'cause I'm like, if you're gonna open one, you probably should know what it's like. Yeah. <laugh>. Yeah. And I was like, and I don't drive, so I need somebody to drive me anyway. And so he was like, oh. But he <laugh> started to go and after the first class, he didn't fight me to go again. He liked it. And the thing that I noticed, oh, God. Was your balance. Yes. The change of your balance is insane. Yes. I remember the first time he was like struggling for like one leg to do things. And then by what, probably just two or three weeks, maybe not even that long. Yeah. A few classes back. We back went to another class and he was like standing on one leg core was engaged and doing like a whatever the press Yeah. With no problem. And I just, I took a moment and I was so excited because his balance had changed. And you don't realize how much you lose your balance until you kind of do. And pee Evolve has, that is one of the things that it's helped me the most with is my balance. Yeah. And just being able to stand on one leg.
Holly Crosby (00:07:10):
Yes. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. With that strength aspect to it too. Yeah. So you're not just, it, it's creating this very neuromuscular conversation in your body. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. It's also very mindful, right? Yeah. Take that time to tune other things out and just connect with that, but in a different way than

maybe yoga, which I love yoga, love yoga. But this, when you pair it with this resistance aspect mm-hmm <affirmative>. I think you see the results, they come a little bit quicker. Yeah. And so you really do start to notice in just a few classes that like, oh wait, like my ankle feels different today than it did that very first time. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. Or just the foot strength we take for granted. Like your foot strength. Yes. Right. And we forget, Hey, there's muscles in the feet, all of it, you know. Yeah. I often say in class too, like, we do a lot of, um, interesting textures. And I always tell people to open your hands up, think of how much we're doing this with our hands all the time. Oh yeah. Or this, and like the muscles in our hands for grip strength, right? Yeah. Like, we need that as well. So, um, that's what's really great. I think about the concept and the overall, um, uh, fitness aspect and movement of p evolve is all of those things paired together, which is really cool.
Katie Deenihan (00:08:13):
And it's fun.
Holly Crosby (00:08:13):
It's fun.
Katie Deenihan (00:08:14):
That's the other thing. Is it And
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:08:15):
Community and all. Yeah.
Holly Crosby (00:08:16):
It's community. It's lighting, it's music bumping, it's, we're really heavy on that playlist. Just like a lot of your favorite classes.
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:08:22):
That makes everything better though.
Holly Crosby (00:08:23):
We really like to get that, um, special for you as well. Yeah. So it feels like a good let's go situation.
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:08:30):
So I have a friend of a friend, um, shout out to Juliana and Mallory. Mallory has been doing P Vault from her house. I, so I, I learned. Yeah. Um, and so she'll probably probably be very excited to know that she can now go to Fairway and do this in person. But can you talk a little bit about that? I guess maybe, maybe how it came to be and then the difference between doing it online versus in studio. Mm-hmm <affirmative>.
Holly Crosby (00:08:53):
Yeah.
Katie Deenihan (00:08:54):
Yeah. You know, I am not, I do a lot of streaming, especially when, um, we were opening one of our businesses and I had no time to do anything. The streaming really was clutch for me. Yeah. So that I

could do something in the morning. And I liked it. I have a hard time focusing, you know, when you have like your phone there or you're on your computer,
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:09:13):
Like the rest of us. Yeah.
Katie Deenihan (00:09:14):
Yeah. <laugh> like, you know, I'm just like, I, you know, but I love it. 'cause those classes are so good. Like, I took Danny Coleman's class mm-hmm. Yesterday. Do you ever take her
Holly Crosby (00:09:22):
Class? Yes. Love it.
Katie Deenihan (00:09:23):
Okay. She teaches a really good, is she with people?
Holly Crosby (00:09:25):
Yes, yes. She trained me in Chicago for Oh, nice. Yeah. She was one of my trainers, which is great.
Katie Deenihan (00:09:29):
Well, yeah. Danny Coleman is, um, Jennifer Aniston's head trainer.
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:09:33):
Okay. Yeah. The dark. I was going down the rabbit trail of looking at everybody to see who's, yeah, she,
Katie Deenihan (00:09:38):
Yeah. Just as delight in person, I got the honor to take her class once mm-hmm <affirmative>. La and it was amazing.
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:09:45):
Did you meet Jennifer Aniston?
Katie Deenihan (00:09:46):
I did not,

I kind of like celebrities and everything, so I had to ask. But anyway, please
Katie Deenihan (00:09:51):
Continue. She was, um, she was just a big delight in person, as you can imagine. Yeah. And I took her online class and my legs are so sore. <laugh>. And so that's the thing is like, in the best way. In the best way. So those online classes are fantastic. Yeah. You know, they, the way that the mat and you could tell where your feet are supposed to be, you can do a phenomenal online class. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. So
Holly Crosby (00:10:13):
I believe the online platform started in like 2017, I think
Katie Deenihan (00:10:17):
Before
Holly Crosby (00:10:17):
COVID, before all these things. They started with that. And now it's become basically a part of the whole concept, right. The omnichannel situation where when you join as a member at our P Vault physical location, you're also gonna have that online, um, included in that. Oh, okay. So
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:10:34):
That
Holly Crosby (00:10:34):
Way that's what I was wondering. You can do
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:10:35):
Either or depending on, or
Holly Crosby (00:10:37):
Schedule. If your life is too busy that day, you can't make it in studio. It pairs very nicely. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. It also really pairs nicely for people who are sometimes intimidated to come into a fitness class.
Katie Deenihan (00:10:46):
A hundred percent. Yeah. For the
Holly Crosby (00:10:47):
First time, you could peek in there first. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. Get yourself a little more acquainted, and then come into the studio and be like, okay, yeah. I know what I'm doing now. Right. You know, I'm a little bit more ready now. Let me meet this community. You know, so it really is this really great concept of they actually developed that first along with the equipment first. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. And then the physical locations kind of came afterwards, which most places it's kind of reversed. Yeah. And especially during COVID, a lot of fitness programs ran to doing online. Right. Where I think PO was already developed. And I mean, you can find on that online platform if I have back injury mm-hmm. If I have knee issues, if I need to rehab something, there's over, oh my gosh, I don't

Katie Deenihan (00:11:30):
Even like a thousand, um,
Holly Crosby (00:11:31):
1400 I think, um, different videos. There's a perimenopause, postmenopausal, prenatal postnatal. Really, it feels like you can go on there and figure out a way to get guidance to almost prehab and rehab
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:11:45):
Yourself. And I saw that, um, like you can do it when you're, you're pregnant. Yes. Which I thought is a big deal for a lot of people who might be worried about what you can do. Right. Um, I mean, I think I did a little bit of yoga when I was pregnant. Yeah. But I think I felt a little scared anyway, regardless, you know, what would happen. Yeah. And yeah, to your point, so you had, you did it for rehab purposes,
Holly Crosby (00:12:02):
Is that, um, no. So I was finishing, um, rehab and I had Okay. Kind of weirdly fallen in love with physical therapy. <laugh>. Yeah. Shout out to True move in Kansas City, uh, drew and his team. But like, I really was just like, so taken with how the movement, it was the first time I'd ever had to do, had injury. Really? Which, knock on wood, I don't know how I got this far in dancing. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. And I never
had such a injury that really set me back Yeah. Until this point. And so, um, after that, I had kind of just decided to change my mentality around movement. Like, I'm in my forties now, like I can't go to hit and push tires Yeah. And be wild and crazy and break. Yeah. 'cause it would break my body to where then I couldn't keep going, you know?
(00:12:45):
Mm-hmm <affirmative>. And then I would have more injury. And so I decided that I had, I needed to find something different. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. And P Evolve kind of started to show up on things. Yeah. You know, and I'm like, oh my gosh, Jennifer Aniston, what is this? Yeah. And so I had started
peeking around on their YouTube channel mm-hmm <affirmative>. And then saw the kind of the job posting that they were coming to Kansas City, first of all. And then there was the job posting and I kind of integrated starting to take some of it. And then thinking to myself, this is, this feels like magic. Yeah. This, I like this so much, and could there be a way that I could do more of it? Mm-hmm. And, um, share it with other people. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. So, yeah. So it kind of came at the same time as that moment where I actually had felt my weakest, I had never felt so weak, honestly. Interesting. And, um, pairing that end of my, um, PT then was starting P Vault. I mean, just immediately started to feel kind of the strongest I felt since, I mean, before I had kids probably.
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:13:41):
So I'm sure it targets things head to toe, right? Yes. But like, are there certain things that maybe are more common, like lower back pain or, um, injury? I don't know. Are there certain things that would speak to a lot of people about Yeah, absolutely. This can help them, you know, if they're trying to target something. Yes. All
Holly Crosby (00:13:58):
Those things. All those things. All things. All those things.
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:14:00):
Like everything

Holly Crosby (00:14:01):
Yes. To that whole thing. Yeah. I mean, what's interesting is, you know, PO has done clinical trials, which is really fabulous. Yeah. Which probably was one of the things when you guys were choosing, I don't know about you, but that spoke to me. So Yeah. Loudly that they're mm-hmm <affirmative>. They have a clinical advisory board. They're, um, funding clinical trials. They're doing things for lower back health, um, longevity. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. Really trying to put the science behind the movement Yeah. Specifically when it comes to women. So shout out Danny was in the class, but when it
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:14:32):
Comes to women, I was gonna, women ask that if it's predominantly women or not,
Holly Crosby (00:14:34):
When it comes to women, we're underrepresented. Underrepresented. Represented. Represented. Thank you. I got you. In exercise science and, um, knowing what the body needs mm-hmm <affirmative>. So while men can definitely do this. Yes. Danny, good job. <laugh>. And every, every guy that has come to the class has left going, oh my gosh. Yeah. Yes. I've never moved my body like that. Holy moly. Especially, we had some, a golfer and people that do do golf for sure. Um, because
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:15:01):
What, there's like a lot of like cross movements.
Holly Crosby (00:15:04):
We're doing 360 degrees, a lot of rotational movement, um, with the equipment. Uh, but yeah, they, they really put the science behind it and they are not, um, holding back on the fact that they wanna put women first Yeah. Finally. And put some research behind it. Save for us. So, you know, that that Yeah. <laugh>
that, that's really behind it. Yeah. And there, there's just a lot of stuff on the website that you can go a little bit deeper dive in that, but yes. To all of that. Yeah. Lower back pain, um, core strength, balance. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. Joint stability, all the things that we've kind of already touched on mm-hmm <affirmative>. Yeah. Yeah,
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:15:37):
For sure. I read that Jennifer Aniston learned about it from a friend who couldn't stop talking about it. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. And then she wants to tell everybody about it. But like, you just said it too. I mean, it's just, you know, you just wanna keep telling everybody about it. So I think me too. I feel like
this is gonna be a really powerful addition to Kansas City and what people are gonna able to do. It's, um, I do have to say I live in South kc, so I hope you guys can keep expanding more studios, but let's start with that first one in Fairway, which is gonna be so awesome. There
Katie Deenihan (00:16:01):
Might be another one. Maybe there might be. Yeah.
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:16:04):
I love it. Okay. So for you guys, you have three wellness businesses, is that correct?
Katie Deenihan (00:16:11):
We have two. Yeah. So we have Pause, which is the recovery part. Okay. And then we have vol. There's two pauses. So we have two pause, two pauses.

Mindy Hargesheimer (00:16:21):
Was it Fairway and Overland? Hmm. Okay. Good. Well, we'll get to pause in a little bit, but I wanted to ask about that. So, um, I wanna hear more about your background, like where you guys are from. Talk about how you are here in kc, your relationship to Denver. What's kind of the story there?
Danny Deenihan (00:16:36):
Well, we both grew up in Wichita, um, not very far from each other. We met in Denver. Our brothers knew each, our brothers graduated high school together. Okay. Wow. And I didn't know her brother didn't know her. Um, met randomly in Denver. Um, so yeah, we grew up in Wichita. I went to ku, she went to K State Rock, Jacques. Right. Um,
Katie Deenihan (00:17:00):
Then I transferred to cu,
Danny Deenihan (00:17:01):
She transferred to cu. As soon as I was done at ku, I moved to Denver. And Yeah. Fast
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:17:08):
Forward as many people do.
Holly Crosby (00:17:10):
Yeah.
Katie Deenihan (00:17:10):
And then we just met through friends, and we were friends for like a long time. And then we became single and became best friends. Yeah. And get to hang out all the time together. Perfect. And he goes along with my crazy ideas,

Yeah. So, um, yeah, we're out in Denver for a while and Denver's gotten kind of crazy and we've kind of looked looking around a little bit. Got
Katie Deenihan (00:17:36):
Crazy expensive and, you know, it's like one of the top most expensive housing markets, I think. Like, I don't know if it's still up there, but it, it was, and we've always just really liked Kansas City and visiting
Danny Deenihan (00:17:48):
Big chief fans, big Chiefs
Katie Deenihan (00:17:49):
Fans, and Yep. And so the Chiefs, and
Danny Deenihan (00:17:52):
That's, and then we were visiting here more and more for chiefs games. We're like, we like this. And her sister lives here. Um, I worked in Olathe during college for a while. Okay. So I, and I had roommates that were from out here, the Johnson County area. So we'd come out all the time, go to the casinos, you know, <laugh> make our rounds around here. So I always loved it here. Yeah.
Katie Deenihan (00:18:13):
It's a wonderful spot. Yeah. And so we just came, he had a house that needed some work, so he worked on it, and he was staying in a hotel and we're like, oh, what if we get a house here? And we saw, we met Lock Lloyd. There you go. And it was, shout out Lock Lloyd. Shout out Lock Lloyd, you're great. Um,
and then we found a great piece of land there. And, um, we bought a house there to live in while the house is getting built.
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:18:37):
Sweet.
Katie Deenihan (00:18:37):
Yeah. And then, so then that's how we got
Danny Deenihan (00:18:40):
Here. Yeah. We started coming out here and then started looking at franchises, and it's like Kansas City would be a great place. Mm-hmm <affirmative>.
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:18:47):
Yeah. So did you have like, an affinity for getting into franchises, or what's the background with you getting into this? Yeah, Katie, this space. <laugh>.

Katie Deenihan (00:18:57):
Yeah. So I, I had heard about Pause probably that October. And, you know, I, I had gone to LA for some, some things, and so I knew somebody that knew about Pause before they, they might have been started to franchise, but they had it. And so then once, you know, the inter, you know, Instagram knows you, they like do stuff <laugh>. Yeah. And so I started getting ads and some of the stuff that they did was just awesome. So I started talking to them. They had like a red light therapy bed, which is such a great thing for your skin. Um, and then at the same time, since I don't drive, I just needed something to do online. Okay. And that's how people came, because you could do the stuff Yeah. All online. Online, yeah. Yeah. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. So that's how that kind of started. Okay. So I could do like a virtual class, and I got the whole equipment. I got the whole setup, and I was like, whoa, this is pretty cool. And then I saw from there, they do franchising. Okay. So then I, I was gonna pick between the one, pick between them,
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:19:59):
Between Pee Ball and, and
Katie Deenihan (00:20:01):
Pause. Pause, yes. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. I was like, I'm gonna go see which one I like better. And then I ended up really liking them both. And I'm like, I think,
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:20:08):
Like, you can't pick a favorite try.
Katie Deenihan (00:20:09):
Yeah. I was like, I can't, I really like them both. And I was like, okay, let's just go there. Let's just do both. And my husband's like, O Okay. <laugh>. Um, and so was that, was
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:20:20):
That, was that the response <laugh> sounds like an abbreviated version of what really
Katie Deenihan (00:20:24):
Happened? <laugh>. Um, and so I was like, I think I can do 'em both. And he's like, okay. Um, and so we, we signed up for two Pause locations because Okay. They sold us good job, their sales team and saying like, you know, if you do too, it's better 'cause you can, you know, share some stuff. And so I was like, okay. So I got, what was it? Overland Park area. 'cause that's where we live near mm-hmm <affirmative>. And then we did Prairie Village. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. Knowing that the Prairie Village Fairway was gonna take a while because real estate, there's so, so tight. Yeah. And, um, you know, we were gonna open it up and whichever one we found first we were gonna do Okay. And then with P Vault, we wanted to do Overland Park, but just nothing was really there. And so they let us open up to like, expand our search mm-hmm <affirmative>.
(00:21:09):
Um, and then our commercial real estate lady brought us this beautiful place in Fairway, and they were like, okay, what about here? And I was like, oh, could I put 'em both there? Because that was always kind of like our dream because we live in Lock Lloyd, so it's like a 40 minute drive. Yeah. So we were like, that's kind of the, the best case scenario that they could be right next to each other. Sure. And so both of 'em agreed. And that's how, that's how Fairway became Fair fairway. And it's, it's really cool because I think it's

Days ago. That'll come. Yeah. Just a few Prairie Fire. Prairie Fire,
Katie Deenihan (00:21:51):
Yes. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. And then the other one is gonna be more like March, April, probably.

Say about those classes. We have, um, multiple sculpt version classes that we'll be opening with the sculpt and strength to start. Um, I think people does a great job, first of all at training trainers. Yes. And then also training the community. Yes. So as we open, we kind of let people get in and get acquainted with the movement first. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. So we'll be starting off with those sculpt and strength classes, which are fabulous. You still won't have the same class twice, which is amazing 'cause of all the equipment. Wow. But then we'll add things like the progressive weight training class mm-hmm <affirmative>. Which is my favorite that I do online as much as possible. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. Where we add heavy weight, again, anywhere from five. That is
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:22:45):
Something that I haven't gotten into, and I know that I
Holly Crosby (00:22:47):
Need to Yes, you need it. Yes.
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:22:48):
Especially this stage of life, I'm like, ugh,
Holly Crosby (00:22:50):
Gotta do it. Yeah. That five to 25 pounds, depending on where you are in your, your goals, but adding that heavy weight to the muscle is so important as we're working some of these other things. This functional movement too. Um, it's a really great powerful combination of we max out the muscle, we move on, you know.
Katie Deenihan (00:23:08):
And when do we get that one?
Holly Crosby (00:23:10):
I believe 30 days in, I believe 30 or 60, somewhere in there. Okay. So it'll it's like a 30, 60, 90 ramp up Yeah. Is what we do. We also have a MAT class. Mm. That's my favorite. That Yeah. That's an incredible
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:23:23):
Is that the, like nine squares? Is that what you're, or
Katie Deenihan (00:23:26):
What is what? That one comes with all the classes. Yes. That's,
Holly Crosby (00:23:28):
That's Precision
Katie Deenihan (00:23:29):
Mat. Okay.

Holly Crosby (00:23:30):
That's in every people of class. And what that does is it mimics the face of a clock. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. Oh, so when you look down Yeah. <laugh> Poly,
Katie Deenihan (00:23:39):
No,
Holly Crosby (00:23:39):
Of course it mimics the face of a clock. So that when we are instructing, um, you know, like most methods, you have to know the right technique of things to get the benefit of it. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. And so Vault really wanted to address that in classes. So that mat helps us cue you to where to put your feet, where to face your hip mm-hmm <affirmative>. So that, that way you're not back there going like, am I doing this right? You know, like three o'clock. Yeah. Yeah. You get like a three o'clock cue. Yeah. There's also some dots. There's lines about where to line your feet up, whether you're horizontal or parallel. Okay. 'cause that changes whether you're using internal muscles versus external muscles. Mm hmm <affirmative>. Um, so that precision mats in everything, but the mat class is gonna be on a cushion mat, basically like a yoga mat.
(00:24:20):
Okay. And, um, we take some of the same equipment, but we're on the mat doing deep core work the whole time. Okay. You could maybe liken it to like a mat Pilates class. Yeah. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. But it's a P vault class. You know, a lot of people come in and ask if the P stands for Pilates. It's not a Pilates based class. It's completely something different. Okay. Uh, but you, if you wanted me to mm-hmm <affirmative>. Kind of say what it is, I would say if you really love a mat Pilates, this would be interesting for you to come over to and find some strength on that mat in a different way. Pilates is amazing for that form for yourself, but if you're looking for something to add to that or change it up a little bit, this mat class would be interesting. Got it. We also do a sculpt, um, and burn, which is little bouts of cardio in between, but not like a hit. Yeah. So we're gonna hit it a little bit less because we know with women now, the research is telling us some of that high intensity stuff is actually not good for our bodies to spike that cortisol quite so much. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. So we do smaller bursts within that, um, resistance training as well. So you sweat during this. Is it like
Katie Deenihan (00:25:26):
You can de sweat Girl, girl.
Holly Crosby (00:25:28):
Yeah. Yes, yes,
Katie Deenihan (00:25:30):
Yes. And scold and bird, you know, I I, I have learned through the online the, you know, it, it gets it like a, it elevates your hearts a little bit mm-hmm <affirmative>. To keep it going, but it's not, you know. Yeah. But it is, I love, I mean I love all the form. Me too. And that's what's so cool. So with all the equipment is the classes are fun. 'cause you kind of go in and you're like, Ooh, this is what I get to use today mm-hmm <affirmative>. And then
Holly Crosby (00:25:54):
Okay. I mean, keeps it interesting.

Katie Deenihan (00:25:56):
Keeps it interesting.
Holly Crosby (00:25:57):
Yeah. We literally say, you break a sweat, you don't break your body. Yeah. Okay. That is the kind, because I'm all about breaking a sweat break you sweat. I fall into the category of like, if I don't sweat, I feel like I didn't do Yeah. Enough or something. We offer you a sweat towel Yes. For a reason. <laugh>. Okay. Okay. Sweet. We, at least for me, it's like one of the sweatiest classes that I've taken. Yeah. A hundred percent. Without heat, we don't have Without heat. Without heat, yeah. We don't have, um, we don't use any of that because again, that breaks your body down in a different way. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. And again, we wanna break your sweat, not your body. Yeah. And that's the whole point. I think that when I finish a Pee Evolve class, and I try to point this out to people, the way you leave later in your day is more like a, a runner's high.
(00:26:38):
Yeah. I don't, I don't know. Yeah. You get this little high. It's, it's don't, I don't run, I don't really know what means either. Either. Kidding. But it's, it's a thing, right. The community of runners, of course they're addicted. That's what it does my to those endorphins. That's Yeah. But it does, it gives you a little bit of like a, you have energy. It really like elevates that you don't feel worn down all day long. Right. Yeah. Good. That's really's interesting to me. I love to point that out to people. Yes. You'll be a little sore. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. That's good. We need that. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. But you'll also feel like energized.
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:27:06):
Okay. Which is cool. How long are the classes?
Holly Crosby (00:27:09):
50 minutes. Okay. 50 minutes. We'll have some 40 minute express classes. Yes. Once we get going, probably around the noon, noon hour. Okay. Idea. Um, which is a great, great little lunch breakout concept that we have as well. But most, mostly 50 minutes now online. You can find anything from 15 minutes. Yeah. To 35, 50. There's all link
Katie Deenihan (00:27:29):
Online. That's, I love that. So when I travel, I'll travel with just a couple pieces of the equipment. Yeah. That's one of 'em. The P band. P band, yeah. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. And I'm able just to like sort mm hmm <affirmative>. What I have. Okay. And then like, what I have time for.
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:27:42):
Got it. Yeah. Yeah. Online. Um, how often do you recommend doing a class in studio? Or what's the capacity? People have to sign up, reserve a spot. Yes. I would
Katie Deenihan (00:27:51):
Imagine. Yes. They would reserve a spot and they can pick a spot. You know, I think that the, they on the plans that had not including the, the trainer, it was 26 months. 26. But once we get in there, we will have a better idea. Okay. Because, you know, we wanna sort 'em out. So we'll be in the space to know. Yeah. We'll put 'em in the space to see what, what's the capacity. Yeah. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. Hopefully 26. Yeah. Yeah.

Holly Crosby (00:28:31):
I mean, I would say my arms have come first. I definitely have felt such a difference in my arms. A hundred percent. And my band, this band is no joke. And also my glutes and legs. So the P ball, P ball, the leg Yeah. Is one. So these are our three like patented pieces of equipment. Good. So you're not gonna find these pieces of equipment anywhere else. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. Um, you're gonna find bands, but what we, what people has done a great job of is making things better. Right. You have a glove here. Mm hmm <affirmative>. So I don't know about you, but I've taken resistance van classes and had weird things happen with the resistance van, where they snapped back on you and you're like, ah, this is great. Because can other kinds of countries you can actually hold onto it, which is fabulous. Um, the P three trainer is like a weighted ball. This is the one you see. It's so fun. Yeah. That

Do with without, it looks interesting. Right? So fun. Like you wrap it around, you know, your ankle. And then there's lots of like core upper body oblique work that we do.
Katie Deenihan (00:29:24):
Yeah. There's a pushing behind.
Holly Crosby (00:29:26):
Yeah. It's, you can, it's heavy. I so excited to Yeah. It's three pounds. Get in studio and do this. It's, it's fabulous. Oh my gosh. I know, right? Solid dense. Yeah. It's
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:29:35):
Interesting. It
Holly Crosby (00:29:36):
Really is. Yes. And then there it is that grip strength. Yeah. You're already playing with it. Good job. That's something that we have have to, you know, continue to maintain. Maintain. Good job. You're already in Good job, <laugh>. But the P ball is no joke. This is the one that gets people giggling the most. Um, you know, if you've done any sort of ball work, you know that they're fabulous. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. For your abs, your lower back, your, um, inner out or thighs. But add this bandon this band is 35 and a half pounds of resistance. Oh my gosh. And put this on anywhere from, we'll have it on our ankles all the way up to right above our knee, all the way up to the pelvic floor. Okay. So that gets people giggling. We pull this sucker all the way up. Yeah. And, uh, where there's no, no more sunshine and we work, um, pelvic floor. Yeah. That's awesome. Which is really cool. Which is one of one as well. You don't get that a lot in your other strength training works. Um, classes. But we work pelvic floor muscles as well as lower back and the deepest part of your, um, your core and diaphragm even.
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:30:32):
And again, I would think this is really good, depending on your stage of life Yes. Where you need to be working on
Holly Crosby (00:30:37):
Yes. The pelvic floor. That's right. That's right. No, it's, it's manageable. We have inserts so we can make less resistance if people want to extend Yes. Extend the band. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. That's always an option. You don't, right now it looks like nobody could get their legs through here, but I promise you, you
slide it over, you put one leg through, you pull it on it, there's a whole system to it. Yes. Yeah. And we help you through every moment of that. But this is probably one of our most popular pieces of equipment. And
Katie Deenihan (00:31:01):
Then that band could come off and it's just a resistant band for
Holly Crosby (00:31:05):
A major other, for other stuff as well. So your booty screams and it's amazing. And the quads and the hamstrings. Um, and again, it's just, it's a one of one. And people put this on and they go, oh my gosh. Yeah. And you see their faces first get giggly and kind of weird about it, especially the guys. Yeah. <laugh>. And you know, you have to remind them you have a pelvic floor too. Hello. And then once you start using it, you go, oh wow. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. A hundred. This is really doing something for

me. Yeah. And I'm not sitting in a machine. Yeah. I'm in a room with a community and I'm doing this. Um, and it's great. So yeah. So that's, you can do all of this stuff three to five days a week if you're one of those people. Um, seven days a week if you want to. We even have, it's not
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:31:45):
Too much to do every day. No.
Katie Deenihan (00:31:47):
Schools, they, they do different ones. And once we can do all the different classes you could pick, like, I wanna do weights this day, or Okay, I wanna do more of a map, you know? Yeah. The map definition this day and mm-hmm <affirmative>. You know, and what's cool and it's probably, you know, I, I'm glad that we have such great trainers, but you know, the classes are gonna be different every day so that it will feel different to you. Yeah. It's
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:32:09):
How are they different every day? How do you keep up?
Holly Crosby (00:32:11):
Are you holly, the equipment? Okay. It's the equipment and the way that, um, I know, right. I know the training at p evolve, I will say from the backside mm-hmm <affirmative>. Just so that people don't always get that. They don't usually have time to ask a trainer, like, how did you learn to do this? But the training from the backside has been like something I've never seen really. Like they really take the time to make sure that we understand the method. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. Yes. Understand the body, understand the equipment. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. And then there's just a secret sauce in the way that we layer classes, um, with different blocks so that we can keep it fresh for you, but also in our brains we can also keep it straight a little bit. Yeah. We have an equipment calendar and so, um, trainers kind of know where we're going throughout the month.
(00:32:51):
Mm-hmm <affirmative>. You'll know as a client as well. It'll be listed on our site when you pick your spot mm-hmm <affirmative>. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. It'll say, lower body and here's the equipment that we're using or upper body. And so you can go, Ooh, I just went to the gym on my own and did a heavy leg day. Maybe I won't do that class. Right. Okay. But I wanna do an upper body and that's listed later on in the day. Got it. So that type of thing, so that you can manage, um, how you're choosing your classes in person or online. Can
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:33:16):
You talk a little bit about, from the guy's perspective? Yeah. I feel like we're focusing on the females every here, but I'm curious if you wanna touch on some things that you feel like the guys would want to hear about. How,
Katie Deenihan (00:33:24):

Swing. I have to Dan in. Yeah. My husband's a big golfer and he's six seven in a lot of pain. So this is like perfect for Dan to come into <laugh>. Yes.
Danny Deenihan (00:33:36):
It's great. So my first class, um, crush, that's when I learned, crushed, learned how bad my balance had become.
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:33:42):
She's like, do not hold back. <laugh>, you
Katie Deenihan (00:33:45):
Crushed it. You crushed it.
Danny Deenihan (00:33:46):
<laugh>. But yeah, so I, I don't know. I, I feel like I had real good balance up until several
Katie Deenihan (00:33:51):
Years ago. So we were doing, um, 'cause I, he's never taken obviously a bar class as well. Okay. So we were doing, um, I don't remember what exercise it was, but he was gonna go wonder 'cause it was like those three pound weights. Yes. And it was like, one of those things, you're doing this or like this and Danny is thinking, what did you try to go for the five pound or 10 pounds? I,
Danny Deenihan (00:34:10):
Yeah. Well I was so confused by it because like three pound weight seems like it's nothing. But when you're, so when your arms are like this for 30 minutes or however long it felt like that, at least. Yeah. It's so, yeah. It's like, it's a different story.
Katie Deenihan (00:34:21):
Ali, who is, we loved going to all of her classes that she taught us. So he, she's like, no, just try it. If you, if you want to go heavier, I promise you I will go and get you the five pounds. And he's like, okay. And so <laugh>, you were doing this and you were just like, oh
Danny Deenihan (00:34:38):
Yeah. Idea it. Like, I was like, dunno if I could hold my arms like that without weight for that long. It's true. It's like, it's Yeah. Something I'd never tried before. Yeah. Yeah.
Katie Deenihan (00:34:47):
Okay. Continue. I said that was one of the fire
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:34:49):
Stories.
Danny Deenihan (00:34:49):
<laugh>, but the balance, like I grew up playing ice hockey and Okay. Um, a lot of sports and stuff. Mm hmm <affirmative>. And used to have a real good balance and then hurt, uh, hurt my knee snowboarding, uh, what, three years ago or so. Okay. Fought it for two years, went and had surgery. Uh, just as a torn

meniscus. Wasn't a big deal, but it was, uh, my balance went away. Like it was gone. Yeah. That's scary. And I found out by P Vault that I lo that I had no balance anymore. And it was kind of terrifying. 'cause like I used to have it's sturdy <laugh> good
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:35:26):
Balance. I was sturdy one day. Yeah. I was sturdy <laugh>.
Danny Deenihan (00:35:29):
And uh, it was just like, yeah. Trying to do stuff on one foot. I was like, this should not be hard. But it was. Yeah. And then just a few classes later it kind of came back. It was just, it was amazing how much that helped too between that and the golf game and Yeah.
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:35:44):
Yeah. Yeah. It's, I do feel like, like an athlete is probably a perfect candidate. Right? Yeah. I mean, I know everybody is, but I mean,
Holly Crosby (00:35:50):
It's really accessible to everyone because aren't we all just athletes? I mean, like, honestly like life demands that life is 360 degrees and we're always doing things Right. And so, um, yeah. To his point, like it definitely will, will get you back to it.
Katie Deenihan (00:36:06):
And I think they, for pickleball, I've never played pickleball, but they say like, for the, just that rotation. Just having it. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, your golf game has really improved
Holly Crosby (00:36:14):
Since doing
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:36:14):
People. Yeah. Yeah.
Holly Crosby (00:36:15):
It's probably hard to imagine a lot if you haven't done the people of class. But we do a lot of lifting up out of your hips and rotating posture. Posture. We work on undoing bad posture. Yeah.
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:36:27):
Oh, that's totally me. Even sitting here. I know. Like,
Holly Crosby (00:36:30):
Yeah. So we work on undoing things. Yeah. As well as, you know, you're strengthening it as well. So there's a lot of times where on your, you're on that mat and we, I'll go to the back of the room and be like, look at me. Because people get uncomfortable. They don't think that they can go all that way. Or should I be doing that in the class? Yeah. 'cause normally I don't do that in a fitness class. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. But we want you to rotate all the way around. Yeah. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. Um, and then we specifically have movement that mimics a golf swing. Yeah. I mean to, because that is a part of the things that we do in life too. So,

Mindy Hargesheimer (00:37:11):
Right, right. Mm-hmm
Danny Deenihan (00:37:12):
<affirmative>. Uh, felt very helpful too. <laugh>. Yeah.
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:37:15):
Okay. So people can get a membership mm-hmm <affirmative>. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. Can you buy like cl uh, single pass mm-hmm <affirmative>. Bundles. Like how does that work?
Katie Deenihan (00:37:22):
So we have a membership and we have a unlimited mm-hmm <affirmative>. A 12. An eight. And then once we open, we'll have a four as well. Is
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:37:32):
That four per month? Yes.
Katie Deenihan (00:37:33):
Okay. And so these are all per month. And you can also do packages and then you'll also be able to do drop in? Um, I believe we will. I we will be on ClassPass right when we open. Okay. Um, but the thing is, is our memberships, we've been getting some good, uh, like a lot of members, so that's good. So like really at
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:37:52):
Traction. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. Yeah. It's,

Katie Deenihan (00:38:00):
Absolutely. Um, so the unlimited get to book three weeks out. And so we're doing this thing where you can pick your mat, your spot. Okay. So if you have a specific area you want to be in,
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:38:10):
Like you wanna be in the back corner, right
Katie Deenihan (00:38:11):
Back corner.
Holly Crosby (00:38:12):
Yes. If you wanna be behind front
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:38:14):
Center, right? Yeah. Right
Katie Deenihan (00:38:15):
Next to Holly, just to stare. Come on. You know, you can, you can pick and so you can do that up to three weeks out. Okay. And then I believe the, the, I feel
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:38:24):
Like that's a differentiator. Mm-hmm <affirmative>.
Holly Crosby (00:38:26):
It's don't
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:38:26):
Do that anywhere. I like that. And
Holly Crosby (00:38:28):
The pick your mat is really, I think a lot of people, once they start coming to the studio, yes. That's gonna be a clutch for them. Right. Because you wanna come in and know right. Where you're gonna stand, right? Mm-hmm <affirmative>. And where you're gonna be. And for new people, that's comfortable too. Right. Because if you just joined, you might wanna be in the back for a while. Yeah. Right. Because that feels more comfortable to you. Sure. And so it is cool that you get to pick your spot or
Katie Deenihan (00:38:48):
You want be be right on by a mirror to see like, you know, you don't, or you want to be by your front, see how good you

But when you bring your besties, you wanna stand all together as a group so you can book together, which is cool. And Yeah. Yeah.
Katie Deenihan (00:39:02):
And so the other two, and I believe the four pack, we haven't gone on sale for it, but I'm assuming with a four pack is you can book two weeks out. Okay. And then the ClassPass, you'll be able to book, I believe, a week out. Okay. We haven't gotten, I haven't gotten as familiar. That's nice though.
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:39:17):
Mm-hmm <affirmative>. Yeah. To have that option.
Katie Deenihan (00:39:19):
Yeah. And so, you know, we want people to come and experience it and mm-hmm <affirmative>. Do that. Yeah.
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:39:26):
Love it. Well, good.
Katie Deenihan (00:39:27):
Yeah. So yeah, you have several options on how you can come and, okay. Enjoy class.

Pause, Holly knows about pause, pause a little bit. Holly's been there twice.
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:39:39):
Anything else about people that we haven't touched on that we wanna ensure?
Holly Crosby (00:39:42):
I mean, we haven't talked about Jen, do you wanna talk about Jennifer? Sure.
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:39:45):
Let's talk about Jennifer. Jen. Is there a guarantee that we can look like Jennifer at the age of

Katie Deenihan (00:39:54):
Right. Just like, I mean, have a better spokesperson. Right, right. The ultimate like who every woman would like to look like. And
Holly Crosby (00:40:03):
I think it's important to say that she didn't get asked to be a part of
Katie Deenihan (00:40:08):
It
Holly Crosby (00:40:08):
And paid to be the face. She, like you were saying, was secretly taking Uhhuh online and her friend was obsessed. Yeah. Which got her into it and then kind of called up the lore is this, that she called up and asked for a personal training session and the people in West Hollywood didn't believe it. Kind of
Katie Deenihan (00:40:27):
Like,
Holly Crosby (00:40:28):
And then <laugh> who she was talking about, Danny was like, okay, well I'm gonna go. Yeah. And then she got there and was like, no, it's really her. You know,
Katie Deenihan (00:40:34):
It's really her. And she had like, the whole setup, I guess the whole thing. She had been streaming, I don't know how long she had been for showing for while she'd been streaming. Um, she used, obviously not Jennifer Aniston as her, her Zoom name. Sure. And then mm-hmm <affirmative>. She didn't have the camera on, but I guess she loved it. And they called her and they said, do you guys offer personal training? Yeah. And,
Holly Crosby (00:40:53):
Which we do.
Katie Deenihan (00:40:53):
Yeah. Which they do. Which
Holly Crosby (00:40:55):
They do. And we will as well at our location, which is interesting too. But she then came to them with her group saying, I wanna be involved. Yeah. How do we get this to more people? Like how would
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:41:04):
We get this? So she, she's an investor in the company.

Yes. She's a

Yeah, I believe so. Okay. I believe so. And um, she helps with the marketing and even some of the class setup and they talk like she's very much involved. She's
Katie Deenihan (00:41:23):
Very involved. Yes.
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:41:23):
Not that it matters if she is, but I was just like, that goes to show how passionate she is about it, that she would take her time or money or whatever and
Holly Crosby (00:41:30):
Really put
Katie Deenihan (00:41:31):
Hundred percent a ton into it. And, um, yeah. And she found them. And, um, but yeah, Jennifer Aniston, you know, you can't have a better experie.
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:41:40):
You cannot literally, you cannot,
Holly Crosby (00:41:42):
Like,
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:41:42):

Katie Deenihan (00:41:58):
That's what she said. She said, you wake up one morning and you have Jennifer Aniston
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:42:04):
Just goes to show you have no idea what the future holds for you
Holly Crosby (00:42:07):
Or who's watching or who's listening or who's participating. Right. And, and that synergy that we were talking about, that magic that sometimes happens of a dream and Right. Um, so it's really cool that she popped on board. Yeah. Yeah. And, and it's something she was, you know, she's just as passionate about it as we are, so Yeah. Love it. But I think that we touched on it a little bit. Yeah. No, that's great.
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:42:27):
Yeah.
Katie Deenihan (00:42:28):
She lives in, I, yeah, so she goes, um, so one of the West Hollywood trainers, Danny Coleman Uhhuh, who I had the absolute honor to take her class mm-hmm <affirmative>. And Yeah. She's just a delight girl. Yeah. She even said like, Hey, welcome, because I took her class and she shouted out Kansas City and I was like,
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:42:44):
Oh good.
Katie Deenihan (00:42:46):
Um, yep. But yeah, she's her trainer and

Mindy Hargesheimer (00:43:13):
Whatever you want. Make an afternoon out
Katie Deenihan (00:43:14):
Of it. Make an afternoon. Um, pause is great. I love it.
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:43:18):
What exactly is it? Like, what is in, what do you do there? What can do?
Danny Deenihan (00:43:22):
So contrast therapy, which is, it's a infrared sauna and cold plunge in the same room. Okay. So you get your own private room with a shower. Um, you go back and forth between the sauna and the cold plunge. Oh. You just stay in one If you want the cold plunge. I would not stay
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:43:37):
Long <laugh>. I, I did my first or first cold plunge and heat is for me, let me just put it that way.
Katie Deenihan (00:43:44):
Oh hundred percent. I can't do the cold plunge. I
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:43:47):
Mean, I actually thought I was going to hurt myself in the cold plunge mm-hmm. Because I thought my body was gonna like, freeze up 'cause it was so uncomfortable. And I was like, get me back in the sauna. So anyway, please continue. But it's right into
Danny Deenihan (00:43:56):
Both of them. We keep them at 47 degrees, which is cold. And if you have the jets running, it's even mm hmm. It's even crazier. Yeah. More intense, huh? Um, the cryotherapy, which is Yeah, dry, cold. Yes.
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:44:08):
Um, I did that one time too.

Danny Deenihan (00:44:21):
It, I did it. It gets, it's addictive once you start doing it though, Uhhuh
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:44:24):
Are you, are you into it?
Danny Deenihan (00:44:25):
I'm trying to get there. I'm only like a minute and a half at a time.
Katie Deenihan (00:44:29):
A minute and a half Absolutely. We
Danny Deenihan (00:44:30):
Have a, have a portable tub that Yeah.
Katie Deenihan (00:44:32):
He is like, let's
Danny Deenihan (00:44:33):
Just look. It's like 55 degrees. I can sit in that for three minutes, no problem.
Katie Deenihan (00:44:37):
Absolutely not.
Danny Deenihan (00:44:38):
They say don't go over, I think four or five minutes, but like three, three and a half is kind of the optimal. Okay. Um, yeah, the portable tub. I can sit, I can go in that for a while, but yeah. The, the 47 degrees is cold. Yeah. Cryotherapy though. It's, I think they said it's a negative 1 61 chill, roughly. And you go in there for three minutes.
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:44:57):
That's exactly why we moved away from Chicago. <laugh>, <laugh>, like, I can't even imagine on the ride. But it's
Katie Deenihan (00:45:02):
Because you go listen to music, it's two 30, it's Amma like, I will go in there before you know, a shift and I'll like listen to some like Taylor Swift love story and it's two to three minutes and then all of a sudden you have more energy.

Katie Deenihan (00:45:21):
Cryo, we have, um, the what, four contrast rooms? Four
Danny Deenihan (00:45:25):
Contrast
Katie Deenihan (00:45:25):
Rooms. We have Asana only room, which is where I like to go. Yeah. Because I just like the heat uhhuh. And so
Danny Deenihan (00:45:31):
I do two float tanks.
Katie Deenihan (00:45:32):
Two float tanks, which are awesome. Awesome. So
Danny Deenihan (00:45:34):
He goes, have you done that?
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:45:35):
No, I haven't done the float tank yet. The float tanks amazing. I've done it before. Yeah. Do it on
Danny Deenihan (00:45:38):
Sunday. You can close the lid, you can leave it, if you close it, you can black everything out. Turn all the sound off and just,
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:45:45):
You know what? I can't sit still. That was my lesson. So I would need to practice. I would need to go back in and practice. 'cause I'm like, you know, just like racing with all the things. Yeah.
Katie Deenihan (00:45:55):
Yeah. That's how I was the first time. And I probably getting better, which is why I kind of want to do it at least like once a week would be my ideal time. Because you, I'm, it's like, try to

What I should do.
Katie Deenihan (00:46:09):
Mm-hmm <affirmative>. But Yeah. But it's, it's, um, like they say you get better with floats the more you do it. Yeah.
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:46:14):
No doubt.
Katie Deenihan (00:46:15):
Um, and then we have, well
Danny Deenihan (00:46:17):
The float, there's 1200 pounds of Epsom salt mm-hmm <affirmative>. And the float in each float tank. And that's about 165 gallons of water. So yeah. You float and it's magne Epsom salt. It's magnesium. Yeah. Um, so your body absorbs that. Um, you can treat it
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:46:32):
Like the Epsom salt. Yeah. What exactly does it do? Is it, what what is it doing?
Danny Deenihan (00:46:35):
It reduces inflammation. Okay. Um,
Katie Deenihan (00:46:37):
And we're all deficient in magnesium. Okay. I don't know the science behind what magnesium does, but, you know, we're all deficient and it, but
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:46:45):
I keep hearing about magnesium as well.
Katie Deenihan (00:46:47):
So And so when you're in a float, how much is in it again? I know you
Danny Deenihan (00:46:49):
Saw like 1200 pounds. It,
Katie Deenihan (00:46:51):
So you're just like laying there just absorbing all this magnesium and you know, your, your hair and your skin never feels better. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. Once you're done, I mean, afterwards you're like, okay, well I got a lot.
Danny Deenihan (00:47:01):

Katie Deenihan (00:47:03):
After that, you're like, wow, my hair feels so much better. Your skin. 'cause you're just absorbing all that, all those minerals.
Danny Deenihan (00:47:10):
Yeah. So reduces inflammation and stuff too. So it's, it's just all around pretty great. We had
Katie Deenihan (00:47:16):
Somebody that was in it yesterday. Sorry to cut you off. No, you're good. But yeah, she said that, didn't she almost fall asleep in it? Yeah.
Danny Deenihan (00:47:21):
I, I fall asleep in it. Typically.
Katie Deenihan (00:47:23):
That's, that's where
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:47:24):
And do not sink, let's be clear.
Danny Deenihan (00:47:26):
<laugh> it's like what, eight, eight or 10 inches deep or whatever. So as long as you don't flip over <laugh>. Right.
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:47:32):
Yeah. But you won't, wouldn't happen. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So with pause, is it similar where you book a time, a room mm-hmm <affirmative>. Certain amount of time? Like how does that work exactly? Yeah.
Katie Deenihan (00:47:42):
So we have, we have memberships and we have, um, it's big package based mm-hmm <affirmative>. And, you know, you could buy just like a single session. Okay.
Danny Deenihan (00:47:52):
You can walk in for most, you
Katie Deenihan (00:47:53):
Can walk in. Yeah. We, we have our hours are eight to eight. And so it, that's what it is. It is supposed to be like a, Hey, you walk in, you can book if you know you need to go after work or before work or a lunch break or like, you know, I have a minute in my busy day and you know, that's a good time to go.

'cause it's a machine, right? Like it's, it's a, you have to remind yourself it's just a robot. But I mean, I will just speak that I was not a believer at first. And I am such a believer now. Like
Katie Deenihan (00:51:09):
I Yeah.
Holly Crosby (00:51:09):
Think that thing is incredible and it does feel like a full body, hot stone is what it feels like. I love that. It's really amazing.
Katie Deenihan (00:51:15):
That, and the beauty is, is that there's, there's thing, you know, it's, it's not that it would ever take away a human's job. Yeah. Like there, it actually gives 'em security because then you could do more of it because mm-hmm. You know, it's gonna be a lot less expensive. But then it like, okay, well a couple times a month, like let's make sure we save for this. Yeah. Yeah. And I, you know, they're, they're, they're different in a lot of ways. I, the technology aspect of what they're able to do is insane though. Yeah. And I only imagine the, and like, we did this in July and it was fine. It was, it was fine. Sorry. It was, it was good <laugh>. But I just, when we were doing the training in the soft opening, everybody would come out of the escape and they would just be like, what just happened? That was amazing. I'm like,
Holly Crosby (00:51:59):
It's really
Katie Deenihan (00:52:00):
Phenomen. We did not feel that way. And so then when we did the massage after, you know, everybody after like the 30th person was just like, what just happened? Let's book that again. Uhhuh. We, we did that. And I was like, this is insane how the technology from when we looked at five months

And, um, they have a lot of good investors in there and I, I'm just lucky that we get to have it in Kansas. Yeah. Like, I'm glad that they let us and they, they said, okay, we'll we'll put one in there. 'cause we had the space for it. <affirmative>. And so
Danny Deenihan (00:52:35):
Yeah. We have the only one, at least the only one that's, um, available to the public in the state of Kansas. There's not Indian, Missouri.
Holly Crosby (00:52:44):
Okay. It's really cool. Perfect. So,
Danny Deenihan (00:52:45):

Katie Deenihan (00:52:50):

Danny Deenihan (00:52:52):

Katie Deenihan (00:52:54):
Yes. So have fairway. So that was there. And then we also have a red light therapy bed, which is, that might be my favorite.
Holly Crosby (00:53:04):
That calls to me too.
Katie Deenihan (00:53:05):
Yes. Because it's just so great for your skin. It's 12 minutes.
Holly Crosby (00:53:10):
Yeah.
Katie Deenihan (00:53:10):

So up to two people can do it.

It's, it's just, it does feel, it is spa. I mean it's spa a hundred percent top to bottom. Yeah. Um, but like, you get to lead it as the person that, you know, you get to go in and decide kind of how it's very cool.
Katie Deenihan (00:56:15):
And, um, like again, there's, there's something for everybody there. It's fabulous. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Can't wait. Can't wait for you to join. Yeah. Can't wait for you to come. Let me know

Mindy Hargesheimer (00:56:30):
Shout out to Prairie Fire. Fire. Like
Katie Deenihan (00:56:32):
Obsessed with Prairie.
Mindy Hargesheimer (00:56:33):
Sometimes I wonder if, like, again, coming from Chicago and probably a little bit of Denver too, but I feel like people sometimes get intimidated with parking in the city. And I'm, there's a whole parking garage, Prairie Fire, and it's so easy. And Prairie Fire I think is so beautiful. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. I mean, of course it is, you know, with the museum there and everything, but I think it's one of our best little corridors that we
Katie Deenihan (00:56:52):
Have. It is, it's wonderful. So I'm obsessed with her shout out to Prairie Fire. When we, when they showed us the space, you know, I had done Big Slick and they had done a bowling, it was a couple years ago. Yeah. Mm-hmm <affirmative>. And so I've always, I mean, how do you not go to Prairie Fire and just say, you're so beautiful. What? Yeah. Fred and Candy have done with that and ev all the staff. Yeah. It is just such an honor to be there, honestly. Totally. That, you know, they could pretty much have whatever they, you know, any tenant because who wouldn't want to be there? And they love our concept and they, yeah. So that in itself was such an honor. And, um, we got there and it was just a mutual, like, they really liked us and our concept and we were just like obsessed with everything there. And so it's a no brainer. But then when we're there, it's even better because every, it's, it's just a community there. You know, they have their social media person that helps us with our social media and they really want

Katie Deenihan (00:57:59):

Mindy Hargesheimer (01:00:01):

Anything else you would want to learn about Kansas City, Kansas City lifestyle? Anything related to Kansas City you wanna know more about?
Katie Deenihan (01:00:53):
I, I think it's always fun to know like, what do people like to do on their spare time? Okay. Like what kind of like activities? 'cause I think we're always looking for activities. I mean, obviously I want, you know, people to go to pause or people. Right. But like, what else do people like to do in their spare time? Because I think we all Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

Mindy Hargesheimer (01:01:38):
Where does that stem from? Which is Yeah. Where does that stem from? Which is kind of one of the questions that I have. Yeah. So in your opinion, what makes Kansas City so unique? So great.

Holly Crosby (01:02:10):
People wanna connect. And I think a hundred percent, the minute someone called us a flyover state, we all kind of went, uh, heck no. Like, we are actually not like we are so, um, connected again, like Yes. When people say Fairway versus South Overland Park, we all get around around here. Yeah. Yes. You know, like it's, it is all the same community. Even though your friend might live in Brookside or on the Missouri side, you're still connecting. Right. You feel as much a part of Missouri as you do Kansas and vice versa. Yeah. And I just think we all love mm-hmm <affirmative>. The intermingled ness of the whole situation. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Which is their own thing. Yeah, exactly.
Mindy Hargesheimer (01:02:46):
